Bacon & Oatmeal Biscuits
110g (4oz) Hamlyns Scottish Porridge Oats
110g (4oz) self raising flour
110g (4oz) hard margarine
75-100g (3-4oz) finely minced lean bacon
1 small egg
1 tsp dry mustard
Salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 180ºC/ 350ºF/ gas 4.
Rub the margarine into the oats and flour. Add the salt and pepper, mustard and bacon. Mix them together well before adding the beaten egg. Roll the dough out fairly thinly and cut it into any shape required. Bake the biscuits for 15 minutes or until golden brown. This recipe makes 30 small biscuits.
